Well landgrab is over for real now, and this time, BAHQ got land!

The last round of LG was amazing. Intense battles for hours. We lost our land about half way through then reclaimed it and held it for 4 hours to victory. Tons of frinds came out to help us along with our allies Shaolin, cK, DejaVu and AoW. Big thanks to everyone involved!!

  The time is almost upon us.. Saturday March 22nd we will have the second attempt at the final stage of landgrab. Weeks of planning have gone into it. I have personally spent thousands of PED and in the last few days procured some top end PK gear for use during LG (think full inifltrator for starters ^^).

The last round was a huge dissapointment, probably the biggest dissapointment of my entire Entropia ‘career’. Two years of preparation have gone into this. LG has always been my long term goal in EU. It all comes down to Saturday, who knows when the next chance will be, another 3 years? Never? The time is now.

I was playing around in PVP4 doing a bit of mining and got a big surprise..

I’ve been thinkin g about getting in to mining more seriously lately, and this success might push me to really do it. I used to mine a lot when I was new.. Keep records.. revisit spots.. track skill gains.. the whole ’scientific’ approach. For the past year or so its been more like ‘drop a bomb wherever and hope’. I’ve almost bought a tk120 or tk220 like 5 times in the past few days, but changed my mind at the last second. The prices are falling so fast at the moment its hard to feel like I’m no ripping myself off by buying one. I’ll probably break down and get one after LG is over, especially if I have a land to carpet bomb that I’m getting taxes on.

  I’m really happy landgrab is here, but not really because I’m excited to participate or think its a great event. I’m so sick of half of Amethera being dead. It will be great to have all the dead LAs up and running again. Lots of fun to hunt mobs that are in short supply now will be available again.

Landgrab itself I think is overrated. With all the talk MA has made for months about changes it seems to come down to whoever clicks claim fastest wins. In PVP, more or less the guy with better gear wins every time. I hope that BAHQ gets land, but even if we do, it’s not exactly going to be a life changing acquisition. There are 17 of us in BAHQ at the moment, so what will it come down to.. Maybe 50 peds a day split 17 ways? 3 peds a day for 6 months is 540 peds. That before you consider the cost of fertilizer to keep the land up and running. Not to mention that most of us have spent a ton of peds on L armor and weapons for LG. It’s really a money losing proposition. I want us to win, but only for prestige, don’t think societies owning land are getting rich.
